why we have to be strong

Postby xn728 » Tue Sep 29, 2009 2:48 pm

when i met my wife i was late 18, we met in a rock /punk pub i was a punk rocker she liked the music ,
and was into fast bikes ,i know now without a doubt i would not have seen twenty,
i was out of controland she slowed me down ,i had never been good with the girls and when she came into
my life it was unbelieveable ,
weve been married for nearly 30 years now ,we never argue and understand each other totally,we have everything
we want but weve both worked hard for it ,weve have no money due to our current health problems
but we dont owe anything ,our lives havent been easy, and we are always fighting to get by ,now more
than ever,i have suffered from depprestion since being seven ,the visitor took me then and still has me now
i have to very wonderful daughters, and i have brought them up through depprestion ,my wife suffers from chronic
lung disorder and panic and anxiety attacks ,this is why i have to be strong no matter how hard im beaten down
i must rise and carry on ,you must reach deep inside yourself for this stregth we all have it ,if you feel really
down ,let yourself feel the weight of your depprestion let it take you down ,so that the next day you feel
a little better ,you may feel the weight lift a little ,i love my family so much .when i look at my wife
i can cry instantly ,i write these things so others may see they dont suffer alone ,i can never show my wife
the true horrors of my depprestion ,it would upset her ,she only sees the candy coating ,the warrior inside
me fighting the demons of my mind ,must stay a silent heroe,,,,,be strong all and dont give in xn728,,,,

Yeah

I don't feel alone any more.... I never really did.... but a lot of people I encountered wouldn't talk truthfully or deeply about it, so I always really did feel alone by myself, with no one really to relate to...

That can be kind of tough.... ~whisper~ I'm so glad to be on & have found the forum...!

Oh yeah.... It is most admirable how you've done your best to be strong through it all & for the people you love. ^_^

You're right...it would be very upsetting to our spouses to show them all the horrifying thoughts that depression brings. I have longed to share these with my husband but believe it is not fair to him for me to do so. I am so happy for you that you can feel love. That is something I have lost.
I hope that today your load is a little lighter and that you are able to take pleasure in something. You are a very strong man Ken.
