Breaking the Cycle
Hi everyone, you can call me Molly. I'm in my early 30s and looking for a new job after having to leave my last one earlier this year due to burnout. Lately I've been feeling really triggered by the job search, amongst other things, which has led me to feeling depressed and anxious all over again. I struggle with asking for help and sharing my feelings with loved ones because I think I might be afraid of re-living the negative emotions, as my last experience was very difficult to overcome. I've always managed on my own by writing out my thoughts, but I know this won't help me in the long run. So, I'm finally here, taking the much needed first step to break the cycle. I look forward to connecting with others who understand and gradually working toward professional help. Thank you for having me.

Hi Molly, welcome. I’m new here too, and honestly, I relate to a lot of what you said. Burnout can really leave a lasting effect, especially when job searching starts bringing back the same stress and emotions again. slope game
I think it’s a big step that you decided to post here instead of keeping everything to yourself. A lot of people struggle silently for a long time before reaching out. Writing things down can help, but having people who understand what you’re going through can make a difference too.
I hope things gradually become lighter for you, both with your mental health and your job search. You’re definitely not alone in feeling this way. Wishing you the best moving forward.

I think it’s a really positive step that you decided to post here instead of keeping everything bottled up. A lot of people go through similar struggles quietly for months or even years. Having a place where people understand can genuinely help.
I hope things slowly start getting easier for you, both mentally and with finding work again. Wishing you all the best moving forward.
