Thank you, fallen,
Gang violence is bs and just plain ignorance.
So, now that I've mentioned 'gang violence,' I'd like to comment on it more...

#1. Gang banger thugs like to fall back on this excuse, "Well, it's either me or them." (in reference to rival gang bangers) Hmm, common sense tells me that if when joining a gang, this means you'll have to look out for the rivals of the gang you join, then don't join ranks with the gang to begin with. I've seen guys/girls on TV using that line. I'm thinking, if you don't want to be targeted, then don't become the dart board.

#2. I've heard gangbangers refer to themselves as soldiers. Really?! When I think of the word "soldier," I picture the brave and honorable men/women fighting for our country to make it a better place. They fight for our freedom- not for us civilians to cowardly kill each other off. They don't fight in vain. They fight for a mature reason.

#3. I just have to mention that it truly ticks me off to see a Christian relic being worn around a gangbanger/dr
ug dealer's neck while they're doing their idea of "work." Biblically, I believe this would be called "a hypocrite."

#4. Many gang leaders recruit little kiddies. But, I wonder how many would say they're against child abuse/endangerment. Oh yeah, and the kiddos drink and do dope with the older ones.

#5. Gangbangers turn on their own for small and/or imagined infractions. Oh, but where's that brotherly/sisterly "LOVE" that is said to last eternal?! I feel sorry for the sad, lost and wayward child who, never having had a family, is led to believe that gang life is a good substitute. They don't know any better, and when they realize it, it is often too late! Where is the frickin public outrage?! When we hear anything at all, it's too little. It's like hearing the voices of hurt and angry people with muffled words. I know that I am not the only citizen who is extremely pissed. There ARE many others...

#6. Why do the highly paid rappers continue to promote gangbanging and other crud to our youth? [I do know that not all rappers are in gangs, or promote them, etc.) But, too many do.
