Hello from Mecca

Hi there
I'm Mecca, mother of 3 grown children & 4 grandkids. These days things are just not right. Husband is in the hospital, we really don't know what is happening there, but so far they have things under "control". I run a business, that my hubby use to run, but do to his health, it is now mine, so the pressure there is overload. From the pan in the fire. But as I ramble & sound like a crazy lady, I just want to say, "Hello, I'm here."

Well Mecca, you've earned one of the scarcest things in the world: a gold star from Aurelia. That drawing is just the best thing that's hit this forum in a while. Made me laugh and laugh. Why? Because it looks just like me in the morning. Maybe not the beard.

And HELLO! to you too! We're really glad to have you here. Sounds like you're looking to blow off some steam. Not anger, just fear and frustration. We welcome you with open arms. You can just write it all out and we'll read it and be there with you and it is so much easier to cope with a major stressor like the hubby being in the hospital with something they aren't sure of, but it's under control when you have people behind you.

I've only been on this forum for a short time, but these are the nicest people on the internet. Compared to some of the other forums out there, this is like floating on a cloud.

So tell us all about it and we'll help you get rid of the stress.

A5

Welcome Mecca,

I lilke the picture too. That does look like me in the morning, except for the fact that I don't drink coffee.

I worked with a woman, many years ago now, who figured that I was mad at her. It was funny, because it took her a few months to figure out that I was always miserable first thing in the morning.

Like to say that I don't become suitable for other human contact, until after 11 in the morning.

I can certainly echo a5's comment that this is a safe place to come visit, and make friends that are very supportive.

I try to come online at least once a day, and have found that I always me pleased to find, that people have been posting to threads that I am following. Also like to look at what it happening with other threads.

Again, welcome. Glad you found us.

(((((Mecca))))) Welcome to the DU forums! a5 is right - it's a great place to come for support and friendship. We're a big forum-posting family around here!

Wonderful photo - Irony at its best.

You were not rambling - it sounds like you've got a lot going on at the moment, which are bound to cause you to feel overwhelmed, tired, and just plain scared sometimes. Please post as much as your heart desires; it will be read and responded to.

Mecca,

If you went back and read some of my postings to this forum, you would understand what real rambling is.

Hope that all is going well with you. Like a5 says, we are here for you. Write anytime that you feel comfortable.

I enjoy following all the threads of the forum, I especially like this one. It gives me a chuckle everytime I look at the pictures you have included.

Look forward to hearing from you soon.
