CAN SOMEONE TELL ME

Can someone tell me why it had to end?
Can someone tell me when I promised to be a friend?
Can someone tell me just how long this hurt will last?
Can someone tell me why it happened so fast?
Can someone tell me anything?

Can someone tell me just how many times I must fill my pillow with tears?
Can someone tell me how to escape from my fears?
Can someone tell me so I can understand?
Can someone tell me how I am supposed to stand?
Can someone tell me why?

Can someone tell me why they had to die?
Can someone tell me why so I don't have to cry?
Can someone tell me so it can make some sense?
Can someone tell me so I can stop the pretense?
Can someone tell me that things will be okay?

Can someone tell me why this is fair?
Can someone tell me why my friend isn't there?
Can someone tell me that things will be alright?
Can someone tell me that they will hold me tight?
Can someone tell me that what I am feeling is normal?
