THE WALL
There is a wall surrounding me,
It's there though nobody can see,
Built strong and thick with all my fears,
Never eroding with my tears,
Do I want to tear it down?
Years and years I worked on the wall,
I always gave it my all,
Always working with a frown,
Never looking up only down,
Not wanting to see the sky.
Who can help me tear down the wall?
And help pick me up from the fall,
Needing someone to wipe the tears,
And chase away all the fears,
But nobody comes near.
The wall was my only job,
From me it did my joy rob,
Replaced the smile on my face,
Sending me in a dark, dark place,
Far from all my friends.
