To Dream

Postby Shealyn » Mon May 24, 2010 9:54 pm

swirling colors lick the sky
and twist the clouds
inside my head

soft as feathers dancing at
your feet
fall ever so softly
to the night
breathing slows to
an invisible vibration
and the world around me
shatters into a cascade
of light, lights that burn
and blind me

suddenly, darkness creeps
and clutches my throat
grasping tighter with every strangled,
silent breath

death.but not quite,
lying silently in my bed
i wake from my land
and wait to fall again...

((((Sheylan))))

What a beautiful poem! I've said this before, but I truly believe that the most amazing art comes from pain.

Your description of depression is spot on. Keep writing! I look forward to another poem from you!!
