Walking the Tightrope-My Self-Pity Party

Everyday, I walk the tightrope.
Not much fun, but better than falling.
Fall off one way; physical pain.
Fall off the other way; mental pain.

Everyday, I walk the tightrope.
Daily, harder and harder to keep my balance.
Try to keep upright when the weight of pain drags me down.
Heart and Head bursting in agony
Vertigo while trying to put one foot in front of the other.

Everyday, I walk the tightrope.
Testing my stubborness and strength
Trying my patience
Handicapping my sense of humor
Afflicting my joy
Cursing my life.

Well, I am sorry that your life is similar to my poem. It is NO fun! We ended up going to a local casino, had not much fun, went out to eat(awesome) and went rummage sale-ing the next day. Had the most fun then.lol But, just being together is fun. I never get bored with him.

...cause it is a weird story.lol
I met my hubby through a newspaper personal.
Actually is an amazing story. I am pretty sure God had his hand in it.
I was divorcing my first husband, living alone and waiting for it to be finalized. My soon-to-be ex-husband was stalking and harrassing me. 6 ft. 5 guy, btw. He was slashing my car tires, stealing my mail, threw a brick through my bedroom window, tried to steal and kill my cat(at the time), called constantlyand basically was making my life miserable. (how DARE she divorce me.lol)
He was threatening any male that so much as spoke to me. Frankly, I just wanted to go out and have a good time, no relationships.
A friend of mine from work suggested putting a personal ad. I told him that he was nuts for suggesting such a thing. He just said that he had met some really nice ladies that way.
So, I gave it a shot. Long story-short, I met a whole lot of unemployed, immature, whackjobs.
Was thinking about taking the ad down, when, on a saturday night, I got the message that someone had called my personals inbox. My mom raised me to call back those that call me. Just manners.
I didn't want to, figuring it would be more of the same. So, I called at 1 am.(hoping he would be asleep or out.lol)
He answered and we ended up talking for, all-together, 6 hours that night...and we were over an hour away from each other.
We just clicked. It was amazing!
In fact, my Grandfather's viewing was the next tuesday and he took the day off from work to come be with me during the viewing.
Needless to say, my parents loved him for that too.
Been happily married to him,(even with the major depression and my many allergies)(unhappy with myself, not him) we have managed to stay together 10 years and WANT to be together.
Thing is, he would never have thought to look for a date in Muncie and I would never have thought about looking for a date in Kokomo.
Yet, by the time we found out that we were an hour away from each other, we already liked each other.
Life is amazing sometimes.
