After every sunset

This is the first time ive used a forum and the first time ive written a poem but i wanted to see what people thought.
AFTER EVERY SUNSET
Do you ever get the feeling that you're going insane,
However hard your try you cannot mask the pain,
It manifests in your thoughts, in your words and your actions,
And is inflamed by your mind trying to get a reaction,
But it those times that you're lonely and surrounded by silence,
That you go into your head and are trapped, thinking nonsense,
When you find yourself sad, about to hit rock bottom,
Then you get to the question, Where has this all come from?
You look into your past and see mistakes and fears,
The fact youve never been yourself brings you close to tears,
Theres no else to blame, nowhere you can hide,
which fills you up with shame where there should be pride,
When this mood comes along its like its here to stay.
A lack of faith makes you feel that you can't even pray,
This brings on thoughts of what everybody else goes through,
How is it they manage, they have problems too,
Then comes the vision of where you would like to be,
Open your eyes wide and you finally see,
You have a goal now, you can see where you're going,
Make it the aim of your life to get your hands on that prize,
Because the only thing that gives you hope is knowing,
That after every sunset, there will be a sunrise
