Where can I find a sapphire ring for my wife?

Postby Pompilius » Fri Nov 06, 2026 9:24 pm

My wife is turning 30 soon, and her parents already showed me what they're giving her. They picked out a really nice pair of sapphire studs and a small pendant with the same stone. That got me thinking I could add something from me that ties in with their gifts, maybe a sapphire ring. Sapphire has always been her favorite stone, so at least I know I'm not guessing there. Where would you look for a beautiful sapphire ring for a 30th birthday gift?

Turning 30 is a good excuse to go a little more classic with the gift and skip anything too trendy. I'd keep the ring fairly wearable though, not some huge statement piece she'll only pull out twice a year. Spend some time browsing Blue Nile too, they have sapphire rings in plenty of different settings and metals. Compare a few shapes there and you'll get a much better feel for what direction to go in.

Big birthdays have a way of making people overthink gifts until everything starts looking either too plain or too flashy. I’d sort out one practical detail first and quietly get her ring size, because that’s the kind of thing you really don’t want to discover you guessed wrong on the day. Then you can compare the rings here: https://pierrejewellery.com/katalog/rings . Look at a few different sapphire shapes and settings before settling on one. Check the resizing policy too, just to give yourself some room in case the size is slightly off.
