Happy Boxing Day!

Postby lisalou » Sat Dec 26, 2009 4:06 pm

Hi everyone, thought I would be positive and start a new thread instead of continuing the one called 'Dreadful'. Today has been another good day. Me and Mark are continuing to re-strengthen our relationship and play and talk and cuddle a lot more. We played 'Give us a clue' last night (a.k.a Charades) which always makes me laugh and gets pretty silly with us both being theatrical types! This morning we had a marathon lie-in, then went to a friend's house for a bit, had mince pies decorated with edible glitter, wow! Left just as the kids were getting over-tired and hyper, years of working with children has taught me how to time my escape! Now mark has gone out to meet an old friend who is down for xmas and i am quite happy to have a girly night in in my pyjamas with the cats watching a DVD

Hi Lisa-Lou. Like Mich, I'm so glad that you and Mark are re-connecting and having fun. ( Afterall, we Welsh are a famously sentimental, emotional lot. And, perhaps the greatest lover of history was Welsh afterall. I'm referring of course to Giacomo Girolamo Casanova de Seingalt-Jones. Although, he seems to have dropped the " Jones " in later life. Perhaps he felt " Casanova " sounded more Venetian? )
Seriously though folks, I'm so glad to hear you sounding in better spirits.
I pretty much hibernated through Christmas, apart from reading, and watching Doctor Who of course!!!! Although, I started to feel a bit cut-off and alone yesterday. So, I'm glad the library is open today, so I can get back on this site.
I suspect you are much better at Charades than I am. I'm OK as long as I get something simple. But there have been times when I've got something like " The Englishman Who Went Up A Hill But Came Down A Mountain ", and I've been able to do little more than try desperately!

things are still pretty good my friends, happier than i've been for a long time and me and mark are still really loved-up. even survived a party (a quiet one)on monday evening and met up with a friend this afternoon. refuse to go out for new years eve though as it is so overpriced and overrated and i am still a bit wobbly round the edges. me and mark are gonna stay in with some party food instead. am just glad that 2009 is nearly over,it's been a pretty awful year all round for me

tackingintothewind, bet you are really looking forward to the big doctor who extravaganza on new years day...! mark got himself a radio-controlled Davros, he is evil, menacing, but easily defeated by his arch nemesis - the shagpile rug.

Hey Lisa, Glad to hear you are doing well. I'm doing pretty good myself. Got some money for Christmas and has a great time buying some new cloths for myself. It was about time. I didn't have a thing to wear!
