I’ve had a rough couple of days lately, and honestly, I’ve been awful to deal with. I don’t really know how to channel everything I’m feeling. I’ve tried talking to people, but no one seems to understand me. Instead, I end up feeling mocked, ghosted, or shamed for how I’m feeling.

What I’ve realized, or rather, what I’m getting more and more proof of - is something I’ve always believed: when things get really bad, you’re truly on your own.

Hmm, same here! Your post is relatable to me. I feel like I'm very much misunderstood.

I have a friend who is 90 years old. You'd think that he'd be great with wisdom and stuff but he isn't. There are times when I feel like I need to change or be the way I used to be. I used to be active and adventurous. Now I feel like it's all sapped away from me. And also I feel like I'm sabotaging myself.

I've told my 90 y/o friend this but he just offers generic advice that seems legalistic. It's off-putting to me. On the other hand I'm very much into myself so there's hardly anybody I come in contact with. He's all that I have and he's not that wonderful.

By the way, I have replied to two posters on here, so maybe you'd might be interested in seeing them.

Everyone has different experiences in life, so it’s hard for other people to fully understand everything you’re feeling. For example, when a friend tells you their own story, sometimes you might not be able to feel the same level of empathy that they do. And that’s actually pretty normal.

I think we need to learn how to heal ourselves a little more, like learning how to stay okay even when we’re by ourselves. In your case, the first thing you need to do is probably get your sleep schedule right ;) Stop staying up so late, because I feel like negative thoughts tend to show up a lot more at night. Try to sleep, or at least go to bed as early as you can. At the very least, you might feel a little lighter when you wake up in the morning. level devil - not a troll game

And during those difficult moments, try to find something that helps you feel calm and comfortable. Do something that takes your mind off things and makes you feel a little better. Eventually, those negative feelings will start to fade.
