more than the facts...feelings....???

Hi.

I'm Katie and I'm 36, and have Recurrent Depression and PTSD, I also dissociate, though I'd rather not, as its not just helpful any more, as it was when I was a child and teenager.

What troubles me the most is agoraphobia, paranoia and the fear of breaking down. I had a breakdown last Autumn, which resulted in me being refered to the psychiatrist, and being put on remeron, while slowly coming off efexor. I am now efexor free as of a couple of months. Just on remeron, and propranolol prn for anxiety and panic attacks....

I have been in therapy the past 4 years and counting with my current therapist, she is really good, patient, insightful, caring....compassionate....something I'm doing my best to learn for myself....not being so self critical and down on myself.

I am 9 months self harm free. I live in the UK. (London)

This is the first site I've found that combines depression and anxiety, much needed, imo....

I forgot the feelings....
sorrow
aloneness
fear
terror
aching
frozen
falling
screaming inside....

Hi Katie,

I think you just echoed my own feelings. I really need to write more about me, the stuff that really matters. I keep putting it off, and lately I've been thinking of starting a blog. I don't know how it'd work out, but I guess the worst thing it could be is boring. Laughing

I also like the anxiety/depression combination of this site. Hope I don't sound totally crazy, but I searched for so long for a good place that felt safe to me, and now some of these people feel like family to me.

Oh well, I'm just rambling, but I guess that's my specialty!

Take care,
Steve

Hi again Katie,

I too identify with a lot of the feelings you expressed.

I’ve been depressed for more years than I care to remember; in my case as the years have gone by social anxiety has become more and more prevalent.

Steve, nice idea on the blog as we’ve spoken of before. Hope to talk to you in chat room soon.

sorrow
aloneness
fear
terror
aching
frozen
falling
screaming inside...

… I certainly relate to all of those Katie.

Chat/post to you soon, hope the weekend isn't going too badly,

Stephen.

(((((((((((Sorrel))))))))))))))))

Glad you found us. All of us suffer in our own way and sharing seems to help so much. Seems we just take it one day at at time and get there.

Looking forward to hearing from you again.

Welcome..........

Warmie

Hi Katie,

Yeah, we can all relate to some common things, it seems. That much is
good, anyway!

About the chat, no worries, please. Smile Seems like some are more
comfortable with posting, others with chatting. And then there's me, who
likes both! Laughing

Take care,
Steve
