Hi. Glad to be here.

I'm 52 years old and have been on a cocktail of antidepressants for half my life. Looking forward to getting to know people here.

Hi Zippo,

Welcome. I hope you can make connections here, and feel comfortable at some point discussing your own experiences with depression.

You have been on antidepressants for half your life? That is incredible.

I find it intriguing that doctors will prescribe antidepressants to people for many years (or their entire life) instead of trying to help that person manage it and eventually overcome it so that they won’t have to depend on the antidepressants to live life. It’s as if doctors don’t acknowledge that there are other options out there beyond drug therapy. Most interesting.

Thank you for introducing yourself. We look forward to hearing from you again.

Talk to your doctor on what is a effective solution for depression. Take baby steps to battling mental negativity.
