Hello,

I'm 22 years old, live in The United States (Midwest), and currently am unemployed and not attending school due to my depression (and a terrible job market.)

I found this forum after Googling for online support. I have had anxiety issues and depression since I was about 13/14 and this year have been the worst they have ever been. Lately, with not having anywhere to go but stay at home, my sleeping patterns have been terrible. I find myself awake into all hours of the morning feeling miserable because I can't sleep. Along with that I feel incredibly isolated/lonely a lot. So, here I am.

I look forward to talking to everyone. :)

Hey Friend!

I can relate to your job situation AND sleep patterns! (Just read my initial post)

It has to get better my friend!

As for sleep...what I found...is to get up and retire at same time each day...this is otugh...but you can do it:)

Hi Rabbit (or should I call you Down?);

I just have to say I totally agree with:

Getting up every day is often one of the most miserable things I do. But one way to look at it is, I just got through the worst part of the day. And getting up early at the same time every day really does improve my depression.

The trick is having a reason. When there is nothing to do (or nothing I look forward to) I need one small thing to look forward to. And I tell myself that I don't have to stay up, I just have to get up. 95% of the time that gets the ball rolling. And I do thank myself at the end of the day for having done something with my life.

Hi, nice to meet you)

It's the opposite with me, even despite the fact that my sleep is not so deep and good, I can sleep for like twelve hours and still feel kinda tired after waking up.
