Hello Everyone

Postby Mr_Raccoon » Thu Feb 10, 2011 3:45 pm

My name is Greg. I'm 24 years old and live in a small mountain community in southern CA. Over the last decade or so I have always felt out of place and unhappy in the world. I lead a happy childhood, was never abused and have a big loving family. I was never really bullied in school but did endure the occasional teasing but nothing to severe.

Currently I have worked retail for the last 5 years, just recently started back to college and am taking care of my parents finacially. I've been through alot these last few years since I graduated high school.

I'm not sure what I'm looking for exactly, I guess answers as to why I feel this way when I appear to have a normal life. My friends are a help but I dont think they fully understand. I'm a good listener and love to help people when I can, even if its just talking to them. But I can never help myself.

I love to meet new people so feel free to say Hi, I'm always open to ideas or new friends.

Greg

Hello Greg! Nice to meet you.

Isn't it funny, sometimes when you look at your life from the outside, you felt that you shouldn't feel unhappy about it at all?

At least that's how I feel.

I'm not handicapped, my intelligence is slightly above average, I'm not poor and I have great friends and family. There are many people who are less fortunate than me. So why am I still "moaning" and complaining and hating life?

It's just like what you've written: "I'm not sure what I'm looking for exactly". I feel that way too. But I hope I'll be able to find my way soon. And I hope you do too. Take care. (:

People look at me and say "what have you got to be sad about?" I have a good life. A good income. I don't have to work. So I know how you feel. You aren't alone. All I can say is this.... happiness doesn't come from what is around you or what you have. It comes from inside. And you can have all the things you ever wanted, and still be missing that part of you inside that makes you feel fulfilled.

We also have a chat room here if you would like to give it a try sometime.

Thank you Mysticalflame & Obayan,

Yes, its like a big puzzle and I have almost all of the pieces except that one last important one. I was born in 1987, the year of the rabbit and 2011 is the year of the rabbit so maybe this will be my year :-)

@ Mysticalflame: I hope you find whatever it is you seek. I'm here if you need someone to talk to.

Thank you for your kind offer, Greg. I'll remember that if I need a listening ear. (:

Yeah, it's the year of the rabbit. Hope it'll bring hopes to you.

Take care!
