New but old

Postby stardust » Tue Aug 06, 2013 2:02 pm

Hello all, I'm new to forum, but not new to depression! (long story for another day!), just need a place to hang out with fellow people that experience depression and anxiety. Currently feeling a bit lonely even tho I'm married and a bit panicky about not having a job or having worked for years due to health issues. Boredom seems to be a big problem for me at the moment as well as a knackered husband and money worries. Always good to know I'm not alone with the help from forums tho :)

Hi stardust,

Welcome aboard. I'm 55 and have sought help for depression for 40 years now. I've had a pretty good life and an easy one. Most of my life I've worked and been glad enough to have whatever jobs I've had. The last few years though I've lost a job I had for many years and fell into such a deep depression that I didn't even try to get another. Now I'm going through a divorce with the woman I was married to for 18 years.

I'm supposed to start training for a job on Monday. Then start driving school bus the week after. We'll see how it goes.

Best wishes.

Hello stardust,
Cute profile name. One of my best friends in highschool used 'stardust' as a CB handle. When I was homeless, in my 20's and runnin w/bikers and truckers, I went by the CB handle 'Moonshadow.'
I'm glad you chose this site. There are many kind/helpful people who post and answer without judgment.
I know this sounds cliche, but I'm sorry for what you're dealing with. Loneliness is not a fun plight. I've been married, in an abusive relationship, so I know how one can feel alone--despite bein married. Wishin you well. Just keep posting and know people are hearing you hon. :)
