Hi All

Postby Lonelygirl28 » Thu Mar 21, 2013 8:13 pm

Well I'm not really sure what to say... I'm a freshmen in college... The end of my second semester is coming up and honestly I have been feeling depressed since my first semester. I have no friends in school, just a boyfriend who is currently always so busy and occupied with his own friends that I feel as though we never spend any time together and when we do it isn't genuine like it rushed or in passing... Honestly I am depressed a lot I cry a lot and I don't want to be in school anymore and it's hard for me to tell my family that... It's effecting my life and my relationship I just don't know what to do or have anyone to talk to... I'm seeking school counseling but we haven't started yet....

Sad, lonely, depressed girl.

Hey lonelygirl28,

First off welcome, and secondly lots of hugs.

Sorry you're feeling so low but I think it's great you've sought out some counselling for yourself, so well done!

Have you spoken to your boyfriend about how you feel? Could you try to set aside some specific time together so you can have some good quality time together and remember what it's like to be with each other again or something?

It definitely can be really scary and hard to open up to the people we love. But I think if you can let your family in it could really help. You do not need to be alone in this Hun and you shouldn't be. Try and tell them honestly about what's going on, they might be able to help, or at the least they would remind you how much they love you and support you.

Much love

jj
