How smart are you?

With time, women gain weight because we accumulate so much information and wisdom in our heads that when there is no more room, it distributes out to the rest of our bodies.
So we aren't heavy, we are enormously cultured, educated and happy.
Beginning today, when I look at my butt in the mirror I will think, “ Good grief, look how smart I am! “

Warmie,
Been away for a bit because of the time contrainsts put on me by looking after my mom.
Today I phone my favorite aunt. The one who turned 90 last year and dyed her hair green (birthday on St.Pats Day) in celebration. Turns out that she is having to move because she has had a series of strokes.
Am not really a crier but new it was safe her to let you know that I did.
Knew I could count on you for a lift.
Thanks a lot for the series of pictures. Made me laugh.

Just have to tell you that you are a very loving and caring person. Don't ever doubt that please. Keeping you and yours in my thoughts and prayers, if all right.
Smiles and laughter, priceless!

Thanks for being there about Auntie Pat and letting me share my feelings on first hearing her story.
I very often speak of heroes. She is one of mine

Actually I was in such a hurry to send off my last message that I didn't realize, until I just reread it, that I had made a mistake.
Actually I have only referred to my kids before as my heroes. Figured they were pretty special to be able to live with a mother that had difficulties and still end up to be outstanding people in their own right.
My Auntie Pat is the only one that I have referred to as a hero of mine. Often when we get together with a certain set of friends we pass around a box that has pre-written questions in it. Most of the time when the question of heroes comes up, I don't say anything.
With all that goes on I had trouble figuring out who really embodied a hero in my eyes.
Auntie Pat has had a tragic life, but still is up at the plate swinging. At one point she was eating out of dumpsters, and didn't tell any of her family. She has been to hell and back.
Now with her strokes she has become somewhat incapacitated. She has always been the type to volunteer. Until these strokes (at 90) she would go visit people at nursing home, do errands for them and also keep people company.
After her first word I knew that there was something wrong.
I was kind of heartened though when our conversation ended with me asking when the best time would be to call again.
She said that until she got her scooter she would be indoors, but once she got that she would probably be hard to get a hold of.
She is my dad's sister and everyone else is gone now. My mom is losing her memory very rapidly. Auntie Pat is my link with my past.
I do love her.
