That's What Friendship Means To Me
Friendship is like a treasure
Nothing could ever measure
Or compare
To this friendship we now share
The trust that has no bounds
Within the circle an unique bond is found
Like a light it shines through the darkness
Driving back the loneliness
It's like a ray of golden sun
Something beautiful has begun
When two people become friends
Forge a bond from deep within
A friend for life
No matter the hurt and strife
And as the rest of the world strolls on by
A true friend will be by your side
To share you hopes, your dreams and insecurities
That's what friendship means to me
It makes for a bright spot in the day
When a friend calls you up just to say hey
Been thinking about you
And how are you getting through
Do you need an ear, do you need a laugh
I'll be there to make sure you have all that
Oh yes a friendship is like a golden ray of sun
But it don't stop to rest when the day is done
It goes strong through the night and the years
Mixing laughter along the tears
No matter how hard the fall
A friend is there through it all
That's the way friendship should be
