I think there is a way, but I think you would want to ask some questions 1st.

A. Whom do you want to forget?

B. Why do you want to forget?

C. Do you really want to forget?

What works for me may not work for you, though.

The way I forget a love (as in a significant other) is that I do not put that person before myself. I strive to work on myself & improve & block it out from haunting me or from me harping on it.

When I do harp, I tell myself, "No." I let out what's bothering me & I do not touch it the next day. That happened to me just the other day.

I acknowledge I cannot change the past & tell myself that however it turned out is the way it's supposed to be.
