Hi Taliii. I'm sorry you're having trouble accessing our room today. Without more detail I can't be sure what is stopping you from entering our chatroom this time- however I have checked that it is nothing on our end.

I have a few ideas you can use below however and the information I need to help you further if you still need me to.

First you should try to connect to one of the other java
applets provided by the site, simply by clicking on the links you will find
there:

If this applet fails to connect you to the depression chat rooms, or you
simply prefer the appearance of our alternative applets, please use:

Chat Applet 2 | Chat Applet 3 | Chat Applet 4 | Chat Applet 5

If you are still having problems it may be a problem with java itself on your computer. In that case try this lo-fi webchat interface that the site also offers:

http://www.depression-understood.org/lo-fi-chat/

If you continue to have problems with all of the java applets and the lo-fi webchat please do
contact us again or reply here with further details such as:

- Operating System (windows XP/Vista- Mac OS:X etc)
- Web Browswer (internet explorer/firefox etc)
- Any and all ERROR messages received while trying to connect.

And I will be happy to troubleshoot your connection issues further. Feel free to send me a PM on here if you would prefer not to post all these details on the main forum here.

Good luck!

Andrew.

sorry to have sounded angry, just found it really frustrating - I have tried all the ways you gave above and keep getting the same message - I have downloaded java again.

This is the message I get;
Connecting...

-- *** Checking Ident
-- *** Found your hostname
-- *** No ident response
No hosts from Asia-pacific on this server, thanks..

Hi again Taliii. It seems your host has been banned from at least one of the Quakenet servers. Hopefully not all of them!

Try this: Leave the window open after you get that message. You should still be able to type into the screen there. Try these other servers by typing:

/server 'server name here'
clanserver4u.de.quakenet.org
euroserv.fr.quakenet.org
http://www.euroserv.com/
gameservers.us.quakenet.org
idsoftware.us.quakenet.org
ign.ie.quakenet.org
jubii.dk.quakenet.org
multiplay.uk.quakenet.org
http://www.multiplay.co.uk/
port80.se.quakenet.org
servercentral.us.quakenet.org
stockholm.se.quakenet.org
underworld.no.quakenet.org
velocity.us.quakenet.org
wineasy.se.quakenet.org <---- this is the one you're using atm, don't bother trying it
xs4all.nl.quakenet.org

So for example to try the one on the top of the list, type:

/server clanserver4u.de.quakenet.org

And hit enter. Hopefully you'll find one server at least that hasn't banned your host.

Good luck!

Andrew.
