Maserati Levante battery died – should I just call roadside or go somewhere specific?
So my 2018 Levante decided to give up on life yesterday in the middle of a parking lot. Click click nothing. Got a jump from a kind stranger and drove straight home but now it's sitting in the garage and I'm pretty sure it needs a new battery. The car has been acting weird for a few weeks, slow cranks and the start stop system hasn't been working. My question is, do I just call my insurance roadside and let them throw any battery in, or should I be more careful with a Maserati? I've heard these cars have sensitive electronics and need the right spec battery and maybe some kind of reset procedure. I was looking at the Experienced Maserati Battery Installation Service for Battery Zone UAE and they seem to know what they're doing. But I'm also aware that Maserati shares parts with other brands so maybe it's not that special. Has anyone here replaced a Levante or Ghibli battery outside the dealer? Did you have any issues with warning lights afterward? Also does the battery need to be coded to the car like on some German vehicles? I'm trying to avoid a dealer trip because I know they'll overcharge but I also don't want to mess up the electronics. Any advice from Maserati owners would be really helpful. Thanks in advance. This is my daily driver so I need to get it sorted quickly.
