Kelp for thyroid problems?

I haven't been diagnosed with hypothroidism but I have a lot of the signs of it and a family history. My doctor doesn't tend to listen when I say I think there's something wrong and I was wondering if anyone has heard about or tried kelp for hypothyroidism. I'm considering seeing how it effects me but I'd like to know others experiences first. :)

hi there MoMac ...
you have to get a blood test...really find out if your thyroid is working properly or not.

No haven't heard of that. I am on medication for the thyroid. Simple blood work will show if there is anything going on with your thyroid. Honest.

Request that blood work be done, wish I could remember the name of the blood test, but anytime I have blood work, for anything, I request they also run that test.

The thyroid controls or effects so much.

Just a suggestion.

Hi,
be sure when you have the test done ask them not to average the individual results... you need them seperately because sometimes the average can make it look like you are ok when you really are not.

Best of luck

When they do the testing on me, it is done with my sample. Lost on what you mean with 'average'.

Sorry just curious.
