Hang in there. Beautiful but sad poem. I have found when I'm able to post what I'm feeling and get feedback it helps, and keeps me from isolating too much. Hope you can post more often. Agree with the previous post, doing at least one nice thing for yourself. Small comforts mean a lot to me now. The...

My dogs and cat used to be my best friends, and they never hurt me and always showed unconditional love. Your kids love you. Yes looks matter to some people, peopl...

Trying Again
I'm going to give Wellbutrin another try, in generic form. I tried it a long time ago and it didn't help, but don't remember serious side effects. I pick up the prescription tomorrow. I've got to do something, as I'm getting worse. My sweet mother brought me a sandwich this evening and she is so wor...

If you can't go to the store today, maybe you can go tomorrow. Curling up with the dog and resting sounds like a good idea. Something I'm trying is imagining a broom and sweeping away really hurtful things. Telling myself I am cleansing myself of toxins of whatever. It keeps my mind doing something ...

Good morning to you too!
So proud of you for fighting the urge to self harm. You are sounding positive despite the setback of the doctor not letting you go up on your medicine. And good for you that you are going out today in public to do some shopping! Let us know how it goes. Your post sounded so much more positive. You a...

I could really benefit from an extra half milligram of ativan now and then for sleep or anxiety, but afraid to ask because its hard enough to get a doctor to give ANY, and I so need a little bit to deal with intense anxiety at times. I've tried valerian, other herbals, paxil, visteral (sp?) etc. wit...

((Ken)) please don't leave the forum and please call your doctor. We care and are worried about you. ((Mich)) I am sorry to hear you are having such a hard day, but be proud of yourself that you are forcing yourself to walk the dog, do basic things. It will help you through. I personally am convinced of a few things from my experience two times in my life in hearing voices. Mental illness sometimes forces the brain chemistry and impulses to react in ways to compensate for shortcomings in other areas of the brain...you have seen for instance a mentally handcapped person ...

I don't know about him, but I know my ex I think used on line women to feed his ego and low self-esteem. From what little I know of self-esteem, on my good days, I know it comes from doing esteemable things, acknowledging our good qualities, working on our defects and owning up to our mistakes, and ...

I understand what it is to feel transformed...depression gives me more compassion...twice in my life in association with severe depression and trauma I have heard voices. The second time, I know, I heard things before they happened, my cognitive functioning was superior, my mind was open...but the v...

Maybe you should notify the doctor, as they might want to go ahead and switch you. Sometimes side effects go away, sometimes they get worse, but anything I've had a serious problem with I've tried to get switched right away. Doc may say give it more time, or may want to switch you to something else....

Blame, forgiveness, self-doubt...WARNING: POSSIBLE TRIGGER
I was married and my husband and I were volunteers for a children's home. I suspected he was abusing the young girls, and reported my suspicions to a number of people...I was basically dismissed, mentally ill, PTSD part from statutory rape. I didn't have proof, only a gutt feeling. Anyway, I decided...
