Welcome to the forum, You asked some pretty tough questions at the end of you post. I have been told over and over (because I also have tried to exit early) that when someone suggests suicidal thoughts that they should be paid attention to by a professional. Probably going along with Warmie's sugges...

Welcome to the forums. I don't know if you have checked the chat room out yet. A lot of people seem to find that very helpful. I prefer to stay in the forums. Seems to be a better fit for me. Have been on the medication revolving door, for a lot of years now. I also have the diagnosis of a major aff...

I can't elaborate much on what crystalgaze posted. I think that a lot of her points would work in your situation. The main point that I think is useful, is to keep in contact with your sister. I had someone tell me once, that our sibilings are our links with our past" When our parents are gone,...

I just read your posting this am. I had no idea of the heart attack. Often I have thought that I was having one and as a result I have had several trips to the emergency room. Each time I have been ok. That makes me very apprehensive about going there. I have a cardiologist, so should know better. I...

Yet again, you have made me chuckle Warmie.

I have children of my own and can certainly relate to many of the things that you said.

Like the thought of the warning on the aspirin bottle.

Also about grandchildren being our reward for not killing our own children.

It is funny how that, over time, myths or just stories, have become facts in some people's minds.

Thanks for the posting Warmie.

For too long I was guilty of living the life of being too careful.

Now I am willing to try most things that come along. The ECT made a world of difference for me. Know that I have often talked about that but it was just amazing the difference it made in my life.

Glad that you have found somewhere that you can go to, that you can afford.

Hopefully the three weeks will pass quickly.

Post us and let us know how things are going along for you.

When it feels right.

I used to have a lot of trouble sharing (those who read my postings to the forum probably figure that is a stretch). My first visits to a counsellor, I just sat and looked back at them. Sometimes I would leave after 10 minutes because I just didn't have anything to say. Then I got a counsellor in wh...

I am so glad to see that you have posted again Ken.

We have missed you.

I am on a little holiday, using someone else's computer so I can't write too much now.

Welcome back old friend.

Take care of yourself Lisa. Know that I am no expert on the matter but I had problem with my bladder for a few years. It got that I had to wear something that would prevent embarrassing incidents from happening when I was away from home. I am certainly not giving your medical advice, just telling yo...

Monica, Thanks for being willing to share a little bit more about yourself. One thing that I have learned is that when I ask "how are you feeling" to my friend, I don't push the point. No one likes to feel as if they are being interrogated. I ask the question and let it go with an answer. ...

Congratulations Lisa. I haven't been on-line for a bit so I am also sorry that I wasn't able to congratulate you on your special day. I have come and been away from the forums for a while now so I am not sure just how long I have actually been posting. You are certainly one of the precious members o...

Justin, I was depressed for a long, long time. When I discovered my love of music again, it was like I was able to float above the depression for a while. It was still there but I was able to escape to another place. It is great that you have your music. Also that you are able to play and instrument...
