Sherbet, I know you feel that you are hanging on. Have you tried EFT? (Emotional Freedom Technique) It doesn't require money, or a health practitioner. Just simple tapping on the meridian points of the body. Maybe when you are aware, and have a few moments, you could try this. I know there has been ...

Sherbet,

I noticed you said that you were in the army.

When were you in the army? How long were you in? Did the DID occur after you were in the army?

Hi, LonelyShadow,

I am sorry that you are suffering and feel alone.

I think that you will find there are kind and caring people here who are happy to talk with you.

Why do you say your family doesn't care about you anymore?

Are you in school?

Hi, Christina7s, There is nothing wrong with you. You have just described yourself as an Introvert :) That means that your personality functions differently from Extraverts. Here is an article from Psychology Today about Intraversion: http://psychology.about.com/od/trait-theories-personality/f/intro...

Oh, and Frame, yes, the EFT has had excellent results for extreme cases like PTSD, returning vets, Panic attacks and so forth. The science is that our emotions have electrical signatures, pathways, and the EFT helps you reroute and regain control.

Hi, 4Everme, The kava is good for any level of anxiety, I believe, and so is the EFT. There is another remedy, as well. Bach Flowers Rescue Remedy -- can be used for babies, animals, and people. I have used it on my dog who is very afraid of thunderstorms. http://www.bachflower.com/rescue-remedy-inf...

Hi, Lady Lullaby

Hi, Lady Lullaby, I think of anxiety and depression separately. I describe anxiety as "What if," and depression as "so what?" In other words, when anxiety gets to me there are always a lot of "What if's?" running around in my mind. When depression gets to me, it is more...

Hi, Sheep

Hi, Sheep, I hope you see this. I have had anxiety all my life. However, there are some great natural remedies you can try that have been very effective for me. Kava, as a tea or as a liquid suspension, is very effective. When I drink the tea or take the drops, anxiety just falls away. It has been e...
