Hi Kim, I understand the hiding out and wanting to be alone. A few things to try are make sure you are eating healthy and staying away from sugars. Exercise....I can't tell you how much this helps me and others. I have also heard that yoga helps. Tried it once and I really did not like it. But a lot...

I understand also, I have been having a rough time of things too for a few weeks. It maybe the weather. I know some of it is caused by a huge dental bill I will have when I have some work done. So of course that makes me put off having the work done and makes the depression and anxiety worse.

I just saw this thread. I can totally relate. I do take medication and find that it has helped me a lot. I use to fight it on my own with supplements and exercise. We had family health issues that put me in a place that I could not cope on my own any longer. I had just to much chemical imbalance goi...

Hi Nina, it always helps to write things out. Best part is that sometimes you can get this just huge sigh of relief when you are done and you have the strength to continue the battle. Do you have things that you practice daily to help you, seeing as you aren't on any medications right now? You are v...

Vent all you would like Omega, you have every right. You have been through so much. I am not sure how old you are, but how are you doing now? Are you out of the house?

I also know how you feel. Lost, confused and tired. Sometimes I just wish someone else could go in my head and just fix it all. And once they were done I would feel light and refreshed.

I know this post is older, but I just saw this thread and I also take mirtazapine. Depending on the person it can take 4-6 weeks before you will have the full effect. Also, with every increase in dosage it will take another 4-6 weeks. Hang in there is can be a long process before we find out which m...

I also just saw both of your posts and I can also relate. I hide it, don't let anyone in etc. So many people have depression and really have not a clue or believe they suffer from it. After all these years though I have accepted it. I feel I am in a better place with acceptance and having a better u...

I understand also. I am trying to go back to walking and see if that helps. I know before I had to stop it was helping me a good deal along with my meds.
A trip to your GP maybe a good idea for you at this point.

It is true about the caffeine. But I am guilty of having a couple cups in the morning. I seem to be a little more focused when I do. I do make it half decaf though. I don't drink pop and try to stay away from sugars.

Few things you can try that I know of and I am sure you do too, but will throw them out there anyway. These are for anxiety but might help you out. 1. Instead of fighting the anxiety go with it - fighting it can make is worse and last longer. 2. Do deep breathing exercises by taking a few deep breat...

This won't give you all the symptoms of an anxiety attack. But it's a short read on the differences between a panic attack and anxiety that aI thought was pretty good when I read it. Doing a google search is by the far the best way that you will get some answers. There are many, many ways anxiety sh...
