Hi 4EverMe, Great to hear from you! And thank you for asking. Yes, I've been spending more time alone lately. Often when I get invited to an event I get an overwhelming feeling of insecurity and I either don't go or I leave early without saying anything. I don't know if anxiety is the word to descri...

Great idea jj, Lately I've been so caught up in my b/s, sometimes I forget that I have a wonderful sister who will proud of me no matter what. I also take for granted that I still have a really good job. And although I've been panicking about attending a close friends wedding this weekend, I'm grate...

4EverMe, First off good morning. Knowing you have to face someone who's a selfish liar in court was scary for me. I had to do it back in May, I remember the days leading up to court, it was all I could think about. I was terrified but I also had this strong desire to destroy the person who had torme...

4EverMe,
Sorry, I've been away for a couple days but I like your use of metaphors, I'm glad you backed up from the edge a few feet! Try to back up a few more sometime, k? :) And yeah, feel free to PM me whenever you want.

Thank you

Hi 4EverMe,
Yeah people just go with the majority, at a certain point facts don't seem to matter to them, it is unfortunate. Sometimes I think ignorance IS the majority. Try not to let it piss you off too much though.

Good choice 4EverMe, shell hunting sounds way better than that stupid appointment! :) Haha, maybe those drug companies will fork out the money to sponsor that depression convention, they seem like they're selling plenty of anti depressants. How did I find this site? Well, I guess I'm gonna have to o...

Get up and get in the shower 4EverMe! Haha. There's nothing wrong with you, it's not your fault you have these struggles. A year ago I had no idea how mentally and physically exhausting depression could be. Sometimes it's hard to get out of bed or scary to be around people. Honestly, I've only been ...

Sugarkiss, I'm also very sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. That's never an easy thing to deal with. I have to say, the feelings you're describing are similar to mine. I too have a great job, home, and people that care about me but feel loneliness and anxiety. I've had such a difficult tim...

4EverMe, Sorry your ocean trip did'nt go well. Several years ago I went ocean shores with a friend and he got his vehicle stuck as the tide was coming in haha! Eventually we were watching the beautiful rolling waves crash into the side of his truck. We all laugh about it now but he was in tears that...

Alaska1958, Sorry to hear you're having such a difficult time and for so long. I myself joined these forums just a few days ago because of my own struggle with depression. I'm glad you've joined as well. I've found the people on here to be very understanding and supportive of eachother. Sounds like ...

4EverMe, No need to apologize, you may be tired but you're not an idiot :) Yes when I referred to myself as the 'new kid' it was just a term. I may wish I was still a kid but I'm actually 35. I went to therapy and a doc but couldn't open up all the way, I guess I'm scared or ashamed or whatever, I k...

Thank you so much jj and 4EverMe, your kind words mean a lot! I went to therapy back in December and have been on anti depressants since January. It hasn't helped much, I think it's because I'm having a very difficult time opening up or accepting what's going on. I'm usually a strong person and I fe...

I'm new here

Hi, I'm the new kid. I've never battled deep depression until recently. Sure I've been sad or had bouts of low self esteem but never this debilitating. It's been several months now, it's almost completely consumed my life and I don't really know what to do. I've become emotionally detached from ever...
