Hi,
We all have different days which for whatever reason we find really difficult. I thought it would be interesting to see which day we find the worst and why. Don't just vote, make comment too, unless you are REALLY shy

Okies, I voted for Christmas day! I often find it really difficult, it seems to emphasise the loneliness, the lack of my own family (by that I mean my own kids, my parents are still around), it is a time when everyone is SUPPOSED to be happy, and if I do look forward to it, its always an anticlimax. I don't hate it enough that I want it to go away, but I often find my mood drops.

Have also lost some people on or around Christmas which doesn't help.

I voted I hate them all because I just find all celebration days hard to cope with because of other peoples perceptions on what I should do on those days and find it really hard to put on a happy face in public when I feel unhappy and depressed .

i find valentine's day hard because people are sending their wives, girlfriends or whatever flowers and chocolates and it makes me feel even lonelier.

Hmm, never been so tested in all my life! I don't think I have spoilt my ballot paper by going with "Birthday".

I absolutely couldn't decided between New Year and my birthday as both are a time when I look back, and take stock of my life. I find that very hard to do, and don't like the results of my thoughts.

If I were allowed two votes I'd go for both as they're almost one and the same. My birthday is next week (heck!), and I get the same sense of "Another year has passed," from both occasions.

Oh, then there's Christmas with the fake smiles and the expectations that I should be joyful when underneath I'm the opposite, and and and wanting to be with that special someone.

Will quit my moaning now, whilst, I think I'm sort of ahead!

I agree that looking back can be so hard at times, sometimes I feel like I've wasted life. Sometimes though I can go "this time 2 years ago I couldn't have managed this" which is positive. Thats ok when things are beginning to get better, not if they are getting worse, then you go "this time 2 years ago I was in a job blah de blah de blah". Stephen, hope this birthday is a good one.
