New to This
Hello everyone, I hope you all are having a good day. I am new to depression forums/chat rooms but thought it might help me. I have been struggling with depression and anxiety pretty much my whole life (I'm 50). Over the years, I have tried medications, counseling, exercise, meditation, and journaling and nothing really seems to help. I think what I am really needing is understanding from others that are going through this too. I do not have much support from my family because they do not understand depression and anxiety. I don't really have friends either, they are more like acquaintances. I feel alone all the time.

Have you tried prayer. Meditation is a relaxation method but prayer coupled with practical faith produces a better outlook and more focus, which is what you need and what we all want.
