Postby Phat|Package » Tue Jan 13, 2009 4:44 pm

Hey guys! Phatty here 8) , was wondering if you guys would be willing to share the music you listen to when your feeling down. Personally, theres nothing to put me in a temporary good place other then some good music! My favorite genre would have to be alternative rock/post grunge, but feel free to post anything that lifts you up! Whether it be a song you can relate to or just something to give ya a smile. :D

Some personal favorites:
Pain- three days grace
Never to late- three days grace
Get out alive- three days grace
Numb- linkin Park
Crawling- linkin Park
Boulevard of broken dreams- Greenday

Ill update this list as i think of more songs. Music FTW = D

Absolute favorite

It was several years ago that I first heard this song at an amateur choir concert.
I remember being quite moved by it at the time but somehow was tucked away in the back of my mind.
About a month ago I heard it as the recessional at a funeral.I needed to find the words so through the wonders of Google, I found it.
Sent it on to my kids facebook sites.
"How Could Anyone" by Libby Roderick
If you go to her site, or on YouTube you can hear it sung.
I personally like the version by illy pazza.
Seems just written for those who don't feel like they just, fit in.

I have a "sad" mix that I listen to when I blog so it gets me to think, instead of pushing away the feelings, here are some of them:

Bulletproof Weeks- Matt Nathanson
Watch Over You- Alter Bridge
Deep Inside of You- Third Eye Blind
Swing Life Away - Rise Against
So Sick- Ne-Yo
Vulnerable- Secondhand Serenade
Almost Lover- A Fine Frenzy
Innocent- Our Lady Peace

But when I'm getting ready for work I have a better mix like Kid Rock, All American Rejects, Ben Folds Five, Katy Perry, and the like.

I go all over the spectrum lol.

I am so moved by the song "How Could Anyone" that everytime I hear it the tears start to flow. Glad to find out that someone else was moved by it too.

Find that I am going through a difficult time now and that it helps a lot to remind myself that there is someone, or something out there that still moves me.

Shows my age when I see the lists of some of the song favorites of others.

Mine are the ones that I listen to on the "Oldie Stations".
.
Had ECT a year or so ago (long ago know as, shock treatment (BTW much more humane now) and have a faulty memory because of it. The songs that I listened to when I was young seem to have been one of the things that have stuck in my mind.

Know that the cars beside me at stop lights must wonder just who that old lady is talking to (it's me singing along).Hopefully they notice the smile on my face.
