Seems like a waste

Postby UnblockedDarkSol » Fri Dec 15, 2017 2:58 pm

Hey, let me start off with saying that I have been living with depression since i was very young and in my head a lot of things never clicked or made any sense when it seems others understand those subjects; What goes into it that despite everything I do I can not seem to find work, bring myself to drive or do simple little things like that but, I have no problem making YouTube videos and being on social media. I feel there is no actual communication left and that majority of people come across just want to use each other and move on. I'm 24 years old and have already felt like I am a complete failure as well as being homosexual I just find a lot of other men disturbing. I do in a sense understand that I have to change a lot of these things that are in my control however, again nothing ever connects for me in other ways that it does for other people it always seems.

Hey Unblockeddarksol, (I like your username by the way). It sounds like, to me, that you may have some social anxiety that kind of makes a bit socially awkward. Social media can make it easier to communicate with people in a way you wouldn't or couldn't in person. You definitely don't come off as a failure to me. I mean it sounds like you actually want to get better and that's a step that a lot of people who struggle with depression won't do, and I speak from personal experience on that one. As for the men thing, maybe you should try to put off looking for someone to be with until you feel like you're emotionally ready for a relationship. It's really hard to date and hold on to a steady relationship when you're in a low place emotionally and/or mentally.
I hope you feel better and if you ever need someone to talk to you can always message me. :)

People just love to play games and hurt all those in their path so yeah I agree. It does seems that way sometime, I don't want to fill your head with nihilist thoughts because I'm not even interested in perpetuating self-defeat so I truly wish you don't have clinical depression because then I would sound like a broken record with empty platitudes.I hope that isn't the case for u and That's really great I hope u do work on areas in yourself that youve perhaps neglected. I know it seems like most guys are dumb or out only for number 1, themselves, but I'm hopeful u can find the right ones after the slew of bad ones.. Dont let anyone take advantage of u, because if u give them your hand they'll take your foot. Just keep fighting the good fight

Welcome aboard, friend.
I’m so sorry to hear about your struggles. My heart goes out to you at this time. You don’t need to be hard on yourself. Your life is precious no matter what you’re experiencing right now. I know it’s not easy to go through depression. It’s a very complex issue that deserves personal and in-depth attention. Are you seeing a therapist? A caring professional therapist would be in an excellent position to offer support and help you to cope with your difficulties. I just said a prayer for you, and I hope that God will surround you with His healing presence and fill you with His joy, strength, and peace. Please know that we all care about you and are here to help you. Stay strong. Hugs & prayers!
