Trivia
In my opinion... i think the #depressionunderstood-trivia area could use some new trivia questions. i do understand it takes a lot of work to do that but... it is possible in time. some chatters have memorized all of the questions and that could possibly become a bit boring. oh and i was wondering if a section for math could be added.... thanks for listening hope some feed back from the mods will come about !!!

Hey ((((( All )))))
I agree that the trivia game needs more questions. If you're interested in adding some additions then I'll do what I can on the technical front.
Unless you're super dedicated and want to create a whole category about films or food for example, then I suggest you work on a random general knowledge section.
It's easy enough to do, but the format of the questions must be exact else the bot won't read them properly.
Here's a few examples to give you an idea:
So the format is this:
As I say, it has to be precise (note there's no gap between the answer and the question -- and upper/lower case). Anyway, feel free to send me your questions via a Personal Message on these forums. Or, if you'd rather contact the site directly then please do so: http://www.depression-understood.org/contact.htm
As for scoring, I'm not sure that can be changed apart from it can probably be modified not to reset when someone hits 500 points.
Hope this helps! And I look forward to adding your questions
Stephen

Code: Select all
oscars:What were first presented at Hollywood's Roosevelt Hotel on May 16th 1929 ?

six:What was Patrick McGoohan's number in The Prisoner ?
Code: Select all
fifty:How many ways, according to Paul Simon can you leave your lover ?

What ever topic you are interested in. From cooking, to sports, to trivia. Like in the trivia room, variety.
Make them easy, medium and hard. Again a variety.
Think it is great the chatters are coming forward with this, to help that room grow for trivia as it should.
((((((((((( Stephen ))))))))))))) hope you don't mind my answering this.

Well, I'd personally just look for random general knowledge questions... just gauge the difficulty level on your common sense I think. I mean, something really obscure no one will get... so it's best (in my humble opinion) to not make them too difficult. Hmm, I've no exact formula here.
Common sense I guess, and think about the sort of questions the trivia game already asks?
Just my thoughts ((((((( All )))))))
