I have a phobia of snakes. I can not even watch them on TV or see them in a book. It just makes my skin crawl.

Monkey my baby kitty will hop on the back of my one dog Skeeter. He will ride him around the house like he has his own personal horse.

Sounds like you are in a rough spot. If he is putting you down and hurting you, then it is not helping you any and it is not really a good idea for you to be in that sort of relationship.
