Re: Anyone else undergoing ECT for depression?

Thank you for sharing your experience. I plan on asking my doctor about this treatment. Hopefully, someone else will weigh in with more about side effects. Hi Cactus, Thank you for your response, and I definitely recommend asking your doctor about ECT. I personally am not experiencing as quick or a...

Re: New member, welcoming any and all advice

You have to look up Ketamine Infusion for depression. I'm 42 and have been suffering from severe depression/bipolar and anxiety almost all my life...depression didn't really work at all!!! Since nothing was working, the doctor told me about how they are using ketamine, which is a medication that th...

Re: Somebody who has battled with depression please help.

Hi Tmb1357, I hope things have been going well for your and your bf! I obviously can't speak for him, but I do suffer from depression and can maybe offer some insight in that regard. A depressive episode essentially drains a person of their confidence, self-esteem, and ability to experience emotions...

Re: need to vent

Hi heavyheart38, It sounds like you're suffering from pretty oppressive anxiety, and I'm very sorry to hear (read?) that. It's an awful thing to have to deal with by itself, never mind the resulting impact that it has on our relationships. Rejection is never fun, and I definitely understand avoiding...

Anyone else undergoing ECT for depression?

I have suffered from severe Major Depressive Disorder my entire life and have tried every treatment imaginable. I initiated bilateral electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) three months ago and haven't really noticed any improvement. I'm keeping with it because I haven't given up all hope that it will help...

Re: Can migraine cause depression?

Hi jamesjohne, First, I just want to mention that I am not a medical doctor, so take my ramblings with the appropriately sized grain of salt. That being said, I absolutely believe that the migraines and the depressed mood could be related; although, whether one caused the other or if they simply hav...

Re: Am I crazy...?

Hi Imnothere, I've had several very similar experiences, albeit not involving carrots  The chronic guilt that comes from being your own biggest critic doesn't recognize any situation as being trivial or not. Once you get inside your own head it's all to easy to become overwhelmed and end up on...

Re: The will to live

Hi jennasauer. I understand where you're coming from--I'm having the same daily struggles and have been essentially my entire life. The best advice I can give is this: Don't give yourself the chance to ruminate. Keep as busy as possible. The idea of suicide seems very attractive when you're in your ...

New member, welcoming any and all advice

Hi everyone. I'm new to this forum, and I'm pretty excited for the opportunity to meet other individuals that are likeminded.
