Re: Why bother live?

Look, I think you need help that a mental health forum can't offer you, and that's not meant in a mean-spirited way. Sometimes we need to vent, I get it. But even though I do feel for you, you seem completely closed off to any type of discussion about your issues. Or any options besides lashing out...

Yeah, meds can be tricky. Good luck with finding something that helps you cope a little better.

Re: Why bother live?

I think your question is one that only you can answer, as far as why you to live. I'm sorry you're in such pain, and know from your past posts that you're very angry. Not judging, just an observation. I can understand the anger, pain and hopelessness. At times I too have wondered why I should go on,...

Re: I celebrate my success :D

I'm very happy for you and understand how difficult it is to overcome an eating disorder. For me the anorexia was a lot about feeling in control when inside I felt so out of control. At first it worked, but then the eating disorder took control and the downward spiral became even worse. I'm sure you...

Re: Where do I start...

I too am very sorry you're going through this. What you're describing sounds so similar to what I'm experiencing. The impression that everything's fine on the outside, while inside you're falling apart. I too have extreme anxiety, it's gotten to where it's nearly impossible for me to go out unless I...

Re: What the phrase "change your adittude and look at the bright side" really means

Or better yet, when someone tells you to quit moping, as if deep depression means you're a child who hasn't gotten her way. But for your question, yes, I think it's often a way of people acting like they want to help when what they're really saying is stop bothering me. Personally speaking I do have...

Re: Help now

I'm sorry you're struggling, it sounds like you've been through a lot lately. I really understand those feelings of wanting to spare your family the "load" of your depression. But as you said they are aware that you're depressed and it's possible there are at least some family members who ...

Re: This is where I am now

How does the loneliness manifest itself in pain? It feels like an achy, heaviness in my heart, sometimes my entire body...the way grief can feel. Depression can feel this way too, but I seem to feel this most often I'm aware of the loneliness. I need to keep working on the releasing of guilt, that'...

This is where I am now

Hi, this is about my third attempt to write an introduction...my brain can't seem to find the right words. I've lived with depression in varying degrees as long as I can remember, as well as generalized anxiety and PTSD. I've been through years of therapy, have learned coping skills and practice sel...
