Just a note of thanks

Just a note of thanks to all that have offered their support when I first joined. I'm afraid I must leave (hard to explain), but you all have been such a great group to be a part of I didn't want to just vanish. I hope that I have contributed back to the forum as much as I have received. I always fi...

Hello xXnothinXx, You definitely deserve a lot of credit for your courage and strength. Amid all you have been through, you still wish to be helpful to others. That type of character can't be taught...and is a great quality that most people lack. You are young so please do be careful online. Ieris i...

Hi hazeleyes, Hopefully things get better for your son and you soon. I agree, it's one thing dealing with your own depression, another if it's you're child. That would hurt even more. As for me, I'm ok I guess. I'm learning to accept how it is. I really miss happiness and I often recall back days wh...

Hi hazeleyes, I just wish it was an area I could help you more in (not that I'm qualified in any of the areas I post in). Definitely a lot on your plate right now for anyone to deal with. You are a kind and loving person and a great mother from what I have put together from your posts. A few other t...

Sorry to hear what your going through hazeleyes. I'm afraid I'm not familiar with ODD, but I did have a read up on it. It's always difficult with any child on how they develop and their behavior. There is a lot running through my mind on this...unfortunately way to much to get in a post. I'll try an...

Hi, I'm not sure if I can give you any advice that will make everything ok between you and your girlfriend, but I can give you what my experiences are. It seems that there are a couple of issues at play here. There is no right or wrong advice, it just come down to what you are willing to compromise ...

It's actually true.

The most ironic is when people go on their tablets, etc before bed to unwind. The light from the devices actually tricks our brain into thinking that it's daylight and supresses melatonin...which causes people to not sleep well which causes a whole other set of problems.

Hi Sarbear25, That's a traumatic series of events for anyone to incur...but by no means are you or should you feel like a failure. The fact that you can persevere through that shows how much inner strength you have. It's easy to say that you should leave the past behind you, etc, etc; but you feel t...

Interviewing can be hard. I've been with the same company for 20 years so it's been a while, but I have given quite a few. I remember my first few interviews I was in just after I graduated college....they were quite intimidating and some asked some really dumb questions. A lot of people (I would sa...

Thanks Ieris, Sorry for taking your post on a tangent Itsonlyme. I would say acceptance is best how to describe how I am...I do really miss the old me though. Ever since I was young I had an insatiable fascination with the world. I was always learning and trying new things, managed to be one of the ...

Unless you really don't like what you are doing, then a change like that just to see if it helps is a pretty big undertaking. In the end though, only you can decide what would be good for you. Glad to hear you had a conversation with him and managed to get some understanding. The biggest problem in ...
